Rashod Bateman scouting report

Hands (8.75/10)

The catch comfortability of Bateman is exceptional as he puts his Charmin soft hands on display. At every level of the field, Bateman flashes the ability to make plays. He has little issue initiating his hands at the catchpoint, possessing strong mits in order to make the play.

He shows extreme comfort in hauling in passes outside of his frame as well. Bateman, however, seemed to suffer from occasional concentration drops in 2020 as he returned to the field for the Golden Gophers.

Route running (18.75/20)

While he is not the most dynamic or explosive weapon, Bateman still possesses oily hips that he has no issue sinking and flipping. He can hit routes even as steep as 45-to-90 degrees with a high level of precision and quickness. Winning from both the slot and outside the numbers, Bateman has a diverse route tree that includes the ability to win at every level of the field.

He can snap off routes in the short area in the blink of an eye with his feather-like feet. He varies the pace of his routes in order to keep defensive backs on their toes and works back to the football at a high level.
