The class of 2021 NFL Draft edge rushers are a mixed bag. There is plenty of talent, assuming players can find the correct fit, and Penn State’s Jason Oweh is no different.

Oweh is an extremely athletic edge rusher that should find plenty of success as an upright outside linebacker over time. The Penn State standout still has plenty of growing to do, and Oweh would do well to land with a team that doesn’t have many glaring needs on the defensive front.

These teams would be the best fits for Oweh to develop into the dominant player that his athleticism allows.

Can Tampa Bay Buccaneers be his ideal spot in the 2021 NFL Draft?

On paper, Oweh and the Buccaneers are a match made in Heaven. The Bucs don’t have any pressing needs on their defense and can manage a year or two with Oweh as the third guy.

Shaquil Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul are great veterans to learn behind, and they also take all of the pressure off of Oweh. This would allow the Buccaneers to use their new rookie out of the desire for him to grow, not out of the need in the present.

In addition to a depth role, Oweh would also allow the Buccaneer defense to line JPP up on the interior and serve as an additional extremely athletic pass-rusher to pair with the unit that gave Patrick Mahomes headaches in the Super Bowl.
