What are the top needs for the Giants?

Need One: Edge

Edge is a very significant need for the Giants. Without a good option to consistently generate pressure on the quarterback, the Giants can find themselves relying on their secondary too often. In order to change that, they can easily turn to the NFL Draft. At pick eleven, the Giants will most likely have their pick of the top edge rushers available. The Giants need to get someone to play next to either Dexter Lawrence or Leonard Williams to maximize their talent.

Need Two: Tight End

Kyle Rudolph and Evan Engram are fine, but if the top tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft falls to eleven, they should not prevent the Giants from selecting him. Engram has been incredibly inconsistent in his tenure with the Giants, and Rudolph is nothing but a veteran add at this point; he should not put up otherworldly numbers.

Need Three: Linebacker

The Giants linebacker room is poor. Headlined by Blake Martinez, the linebackers in New York can be improved upon quite easily. With good talent at the top of the draft, Dave Gettleman should have no issue finding an athletic talent to come and transcend the second level of his defense. As offenses get faster and faster, teams need that guy who can run sideline to sideline on every play.
