Eagles team needs entering 2021 NFL Draft

Need One: Offensive Line

The Eagles offensive line is good when healthy, but that is not a given anymore. Lane Johnson and Brandon Brooks both suffered injuries last year and are both on the wrong side of 30. Their stud center, Jason Kelce is 33 and is nearing the end of his career. The left tackle position is wide open. Andre Dillard, who they wished to take over that role, has not carved out his spot yet. There is a lot to think about with this offensive line, and most of it will revolve around the question of, when do they start addressing it?

Need Two: Wide Receiver

Howie Roseman has not been very good at drafting wide receivers in recent years. In 2019, he drafted J.J. Arcega-Whiteside before names like D.K. Metcalf and Terry McLaurin, two of the best young receivers in the NFL. In 2020, he drafted Jalen Reagor before Justin Jefferson. While Reagor could still be good when he stays healthy, Jefferson was the best rookie receiver, which is a tough thing for the Eagles to see. With another incredible receiver class, Roseman will have another shot at drafting a wide receiver who can be the guys he has missed out on the last two years.

Need Three: Cornerback

Despite having Darius Slay, the Eagles’ secondary is still quite sub-par. This cornerback class is phenomenal, and there are plenty of names who could come in and start for the Eagles on day one. Avonte Maddox is not going to cut it as a CB2 anymore, and Slay is getting up there in age, so finding another cornerback needs to be up there on the needs list.
