The San Francisco 49ers have become the talk of the town after trading two future first round picks, swapping their 2021 first rounder, and giving up a day-two pick in order to obtain the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. While there is still a hot debate about which quarterback they will take, they have put themselves in a position to get a top guy in the class.

The Niners also have a plethora of picks to move around and play with still in the draft this upcoming draft, just missing a third round pick after trading for Trent Williams a year ago. They have plenty of ammunition to get back in the hunt for a Super Bowl, just two years removed.

What are team needs for 49ers entering the 2021 NFL Draft?

The clear need in the Bay Area is pretty blatantly quarterback as they have just mortgaged their immediate future to get the position right. While they are adamant they will keep Jimmy Garoppolo on the roster, there is no other position in professional sports worth giving up the ransom John Lynch and his team did than quarterback.

While they re-signed both Jason Verrett and Emmanuel Moseley, cornerback could be a continued need with their eye on the future as well. Center needs a long-term outlook as well, as Alex Mack is a great veteran piece, but is at the end of the road of his career. As Dee Ford has been extremely underwhelming, the signing of Samson Ebukam should not keep the Niners from addressing the pass rush position in the draft either.

With eyes towards the 2021 NFL Draft, however, who are some prospects the Niners should look to avoid as the main event is now less than three weeks away?
