2. Rondale Moore, Wide receiver

This would be in the same situation as Travis Etienne, yes he is one of the tops in the draft at his position. But, he will fall into a spot the Jets need to stick to their needs on. They could most definitely use a wide receiver, but getting a top-end one high in the draft would not do them a ton of good. They are still rostering recently signed Corey Davis, last year’s rookie Denzel Mims and Jamison Crowder.

This will be a tantalizing and sexy pick if he is there early in the second round as the Jets could boast an amazing pass-catching group.

Don’t fall into the trap.

This team is a long way off, and they are not a wide receiver away. Sticking to the major needs here would be a much better and smarter choice. Going after corner, offensive line, and linebacker. There could also be an option for safety here depending on how the team coaches feel about Ashtyn Davis.

Rondale Moore will end up a good player in this league, but he would be a shiny new toy that no one would play with for the Jets.

There are also multiple wide receivers later in the draft, no not of his caliber, but good enough to fill in at a WR4/3 slot. As the draft goes on we could see such guys as; Tylan Wallace of Oklahoma State, Dyami Brown of North Carolina, and Seth Williams fall into the land of steals.
