Team needs for Packers

The biggest need on this roster is at cornerback. While Jaire Alexander is one of the best in the entire NFL, he was unfortunately paired with one of the worst starting cornerbacks in the NFL last season in Kevin King. Behind King is not much better, as former second-round draft choice Josh Jackson has struggled in his short career in Green Bay. Chandon Sullivan is a decent player, however, he is a slot cornerback and could be upgraded as well. If Green Bay chooses to upgrade in free agency, there are a few veterans that make sense, such as Richard Sherman, Malcolm Butler, and Janoris Jenkins among others.

A need that is a close second to cornerback is offensive tackle. On the left side, veteran David Bakhtiari is one of the best in the business, though he did tear his ACL late in December. The right side, however, is a huge question mark moving forward. Billy Turner had a fine year last season at right tackle, however, he is viewed as a versatile piece, and with Corey Linsley leaving, Turner could be shifting inside to guard to allow Elgton Jenkins to become the full-time center. After keeping Aaron Rodgers and company clean for most of the year, look for Green Bay to add reinforcements in the draft.

Though there is a lot of talk about adding weapons for Aaron Rodgers, a wide receiver is not as big of a need as some make it out to be. Regardless, adding another homerun threat on offense is not the worst idea in the world. Watch for Green Bay to pick up another target, even if it a bit later in the draft. Other needs include center, defensive line, and linebacker.
