2. Brevin Jordan, TE, Miami

A lot of Dallas fans out there want a tight end, and if Kyle Pitts isn’t available in the first round, Brevin Jordan has been a popular name. For as athletic and explosive as Jordan has been described, his pro day numbers were very underwhelming. A lot of people like what Jordan brings as a receiver, but his game does not show that he can handle contact very well.

He’s competitive, but when blocking or running a route, contact will give him struggles. Given his hype, Jordan’s tape was not as good as expected. For the Cowboys, this pick wouldn’t make much sense. Blake Jarwin is returning from injury and when he was healthy, the team seemed to have tons of faith in him.

Much like the Rashawn Slater reasoning, if it isn’t Kyle Pitts, Dallas should stay away. From underwhelming tape to underwhelming athletic numbers, Jordan just doesn’t fit with what the Cowboys are doing on offense. Drafting a tight end in this draft is not going to be flashy; aside from Kyle Pitts. Brevin Jordan is one of the late day two tight ends who people seem to love, but they don’t have very favorable projections in terms of heavy production.
