In a move that left many shocked and unsettled, the

Cleveland Browns

moved on from a significant contributor from a year ago. After two seasons in action off of Lake Erie, the Browns

have released Sheldon Richardson

, freeing up a massive $12 million in cap space. This came off the heels of signing Jadeveon Clowney to a one-year, $8 million base deal.

With the draft in just less than two weeks, will they look to add another defensive tackle there, do they feel confident in their room, or will they wait until waivers to add another. We take a look there next as general manager Andrew Berry and his team prepare for the next wave of rookies to join their team.

Will the Browns take a DT in the draft?

While the Browns cut Richardson, they are not a sure lock to take a defensive tackle in the 2021 NFL Draft, however. After signing Malik Jackson to fill Richardson’s role as the sturdy vet with alignment versatility, they also bring back 2020 third rounder Jordan Elliott, and Andrew Billings also joins the team after opting out in 2020.

Historically, the Browns under both Sashi Brown and Andrew Berry have churned the roster at the defensive tackle position as well. In fact, a year ago the Browns landed an underrated contributor to their roster in Vincent Taylor a year ago after he was cut from the Buffalo Bills. If they do look towards the draft for a defensive tackle, however, here are three options, one on each day of the event.
