Team needs entering 2021 NFL Draft

Need no. 1: Cornerback

The Titans still need to upgrade at the corner position. After losing Butler and getting the older and less effective Jenkins there is still a decent amount of work to be done at the position. The draft is deep there and they should have more than their fair share of options. I would not be surprised to see them go out and draft two corners this draft, and maybe add one more with the free agent leftovers.

Not counting Butler the Titans have not had an elite corner for quite some time and the Jaguars and Colts are trying to build a top-end passing game. If they can’t shore up their defensive backs, they could be looking toward the bottom of the league as far as pass defense rankings are concerned.

Need no. 2: Offensive Tackle

First round pick Isaiah Wilson in 2020 was about as big a bust as you can get. So much so, that they traded him to Miami for pretty much nothing. So offensive tackle is once again a need for the Titans. They have the best running back in the game, but with the drop in wide receiver talent now it might take Tannehill a little longer to get rid of the ball.

Keeping the soon-to-be 33-year-old quarterback on his feet should be a top priority to make sure he can continue his career. There is a shortage of starter-level tackles in the draft after the second round, I would expect them to try and attack that position early.

Need no. 3: Wide Receiver

Both would be tied at need three for this team. After AJ Brown they don’t have much left due to the departures of pass-catchers Corey Davis, Jonnu Smith, and Adam Humphries. So that is a top priority, and they do not have many talents at linebacker either.

They will be able to get solid wide receiver talent later in the draft, but they cannot wait past round three to get one. As long as they can hit one of the two here they might be able to use other puzzle pieces to make up for the lack of getting the other.
