The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as we all know, are the Super Bowl LV Champions. That doesn’t get any less insane to write. After the biggest offseason in team history, the Buccaneers made the playoffs for the first time since 2007. The season was not easy, and it was not pretty, but it paid off in the end for the Bucs.

The shortened offseason and limited camp reps proved to be impactful for the Bucs but in a negative way. Tom Brady and the offense were clearly not on the same page for the first few weeks and the real problems that plagued the team had come to light in the Bears game. However, that loss to the Bears seemed to motivate the Bucs, as they went on to win two straight games by more than 20 point margins.

After a successful October, the Buccaneers were heading into a gauntlet in November, as they were scheduled to face the Saints, Rams, and Cheifs; three playoff teams. This was, by far, the worst stretch of the season for the team. They opened the month by losing 30-3 to the Saints. They beat the Panthers in the following week, but would then drop the next two to the Rams and Cheifs; losing each game by just three points. After that game, it was reported that Tom Brady said the team would not lose another game; and they didn’t.

Can Buccaneers run it back?

The Bucs went on to win every single game from that point on, including another win over the Packers, and revenge wins against the Saints and Cheifs. The Buccaneers dominated in the playoffs. The offense finally seemed to click and the defense was playing their best football of the season. Everything came together at the perfect time, and the Buccaneers were able to score 31 points against the Chiefs and hold “the best offense in football” to no touchdowns in the Super Bowl.

It is now the offseason, however, and it’s time to turn our heads to the 2021 NFL Draft.
