Liam Eichenberg, Notre Dame

Liam Eichenberg is not the athlete of Cosmi, nor does he possess the mauler mentality that Teven Jenkins has, but what he does have is an elite understanding of the position. Eichenberg has tremendous technique and knows how to play the position at a high level. He knows how to use his hands and out position defenders.

He is aware of his surroundings and knows when rushers are attempting to pull off a twist or a stunt. He picks up and passes off rushers at a very high level. If your tackle doesn’t have a trump card, the best thing they can have is an elite understanding of how to play the position. The Ravens are in win-now mode, so the coaching staff and front office might not be willing to develop an offensive tackle.

If a player like Liam Eichenberg is selected, there will be limited development needed. After years of starting at Notre Dame, the Ravens might be willing to take the hit on the more average athleticism. The Ravens hit a gold mine with Ronnie Stanley, so they might be interested in dipping back into the pool of offensive line prospects from Notre Dame, they have a pretty good track record.
