The Baltimore Ravens just swung a massive trade to get the Kansas City Chiefs’ 31st overall pick, though it did cost them an elite offensive linemen. This is more good news for Lamar Jackson. Due to the fact they may have fewer concerns about getting a wide receiver with two picks in the first round. The draft is deep at offensive tackle, and at this position, I would not expect them to fill it there, but rather go after a major need.

Their current team needs are a pass rusher, wide receiver, offensive tackle, safety, and corner.

They will have two picks close to each other in the first round. Their first pick is at 27 and the second they just got at 31st. There could be a chance one of these is packaged to move up, maybe for one of the top four wide receivers. Or, it could be used to go after the best EDGE in the class, which many believe to be Jaelan Phillips.

The inside linebacker class this year is relatively weak, if they feel strongly enough we could see one at one of the two picks.

What will the mighty Ravens do in the NFL Draft?

Having two picks back-to-back makes for a lot of interesting scenarios. Will they go safe with the first one and risk the second? Will they risk on the first and stay safe on the second? Or will both be one way or the other? There are plenty of reasons to think they could take a risk on both, going the best wide receiver out there at that pick and come back with a massive upside player.

The Ravens are not far off from a Super Bowl appearance, but they need to get much better in the passing game, and after losing multiple pass-rusher they need to fix both fast. If they can not get the passing game off the ground and force the other team to get rid of the ball quickly, they could be left in the dust of the ever-evolving AFC.

Let’s take a look at some solid fits for the hot off the press 31st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
