Offensive Tackle

If the Jets want to help Zach Wilson with a top-5 pick, this is going to be the most direct way of doing so. Mekhi Becton is a stud when healthy, but the Jets need someone who can lock up the other side of the offensive line.

There is one guy who is worthy of a top-5 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and it is Evan Neal from Alabama. Neal is currently the left tackle for the Crimson Tide but has played right tackle as well as guard. If the Jets decide to draft a tackle, it should be Neal or bust in the first round.

It would be quite shocking if the Jets do not draft two defensive players with these picks, to be honest. The rounds two and three offensive tackles are good enough that you can justify waiting until the top of the second round to draft one. Edge rusher is the top need, followed by cornerback, and then everything else.

On day two, names like Sean Rhyan and Trevor Penning should be available that can play tackle well for the Jets. The focus for this team should be defense with their first-round picks, but if they draft Evan Neal don’t be completely shocked, because it makes sense why they would do so.
