The New York Jets have two picks in the top-10 of the 2022 NFL Draft. They are more spread out than the Giants picks are, but these two are a must-hit for the Jets.

There are already rumors the Jets are looking to move out of ten to move down for more picks. This pick could also be traded for a player, such as Devante Adams. No matter what they do with these picks they can not get it wrong.

The Jets have a long-standing history of not doing well in the NFL Draft.

Last year they hit on both first-round picks, depending on your own personal view of Zach Wilson and his progression. They must do the same this year, the Jets might boast one of the least talented and lowest depth teams in the league. They also started one of the highest numbers of rookies last year, which most would say is not a stat you want to be at the top of.

Right now they have the fourth and 10th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

How should the Jets spend their wealth of picks?

At the moment all signs point to taking the best pass rusher and the best defensive back on the board for both picks. While the offensive line is a need, that defense is a sive and there is less talent than depth and we already talked about their lack of depth. The Jets will have their pick of players at a needed position at both picks. There are also concerns about the true level of the top-3 OL in the draft, while Neal from Alabama seems solid, he might be an over-draft due to the lack of true top-end OL in this draft.

The idea of someone coming up to grab ten, and stock more picks could be too enticing to pass up with some teams looking for quarterbacks, an elite defensive back, or the top WR in the draft.

The Jets right now should be studying anyone and everyone in the draft like never before. They can’t afford to stunt the growth of Zach Wilson, and without fixing this defense they have no chance in the now competitive AFC East. The Jets have enough picks and cap to turn around this franchise in one entire off-season should they get everything correct. Which they have not been known for recently, but hey there is always a chance right?

If they can continue from the last draft where they seemed to hit on AVT, both Michael Carters, and Elijah Moore another solid draft would do so much for the green and white. While the jury is still out on last year’s first pick Wilson, it’s hard to put a ton of stock in his first year with all the injuries, his own injury, and whole new coaching staff for the Jets.

Let’s take a look at what they should do with their first pick.
