Looking later in the draft I would expect them to target

I would expect a corner or defensive lineman whichever they decide not to go with at 12. Inside offensive linemen, linebacker, and safety are also possible options. While this draft is deep with running back and wide receivers I don’t see that being a point of priority for them and they could bypass both positions altogether.

There is more depth than top-end talent in this draft to me.

I do expect them to use one of their later-round picks on a kicker. Yes, a kicker. The Vikings have not had a solid one since well, ever. So taking a risk later in the draft and maybe finally getting it right on a kicker. The lack of a kicker has shown over the last two seasons to be the reason they lose more games than they win and it can not be overlooked.

Next. Who in the Pac-12 could surprise this draft?. dark

If they can somehow manage to get a solid corner, defensive tackle, kicker, and linebacker this team could really look to make some noise in 2022. But, they also must be prepared for the possible post-Kirk Cousins era. This could be in 2023, I am sure that is not lost on ownership or the front office, but it’s hard to imagine they look to jump-start that early when the division is in their grasp.
