With the 2022 NFL Draft quickly approaching teams are finalizing their draft boards. There are several teams we should expect to take a shot at moving up the draft. With plenty of CB, LB, and OL talent in the top 20 picks.

It always seems like you can never have enough offensive linemen or defensive front-seven and there is plenty to be had in the first round of the NFL draft. Though some of the more needy teams may look to target a quarterback, defensive back, or defensive lineman who are later in the first round. Several teams have already made picks available for trade or are looking to check on value.

While I am not sure we see many moves into the top six of the draft, there should be a lot of chatter from 7th overall down to 19th overall.

The quarterback class this year seems to have as much controversy as last year, only in the opposite way. As scouts and teams are slowly coming down on the QB in this year’s draft class. This is not entirely good for QB needy teams as a look forward but could make trading up for one just a little bit easier as they may not need to go as high.

This wide receiver class, however, could see the most movement as teams look to try and jump others for the likes of Drake London, Treylon Burks, Jahan Dotson, or Garrett Wilson.

Will free agency affect teams trying to move up in the 2022 NFL Draft?

With the exception of maybe a Jimmy Garoppolo, Russell Wilson, or a Christian McCaffrey trade. I don’t think many free agents will affect any of the teams who could possibly move up. Even with Davante Adams looking like he won’t be back with the Packers, whichever team retains his services may still not adjust their current draft board.

While there is a decent FA class this year, and the cap going up teams want to avoid being the next Saints. The Bengals also showed you can get to the Super Bowl with guys on rookie deals, over dropping tens of millions in the FA market.

So who will be the most likely to trade up in the first round?
