. New York Jets. 3. team. 30. .

The Jets have the 4th and 10th overall picks in this year’s draft. The 10th pick will be a hotly-targeted one as teams jockey for getting maybe the top quarterback or wide receiver.

The Jets could turn the 10th pick into a lot of extra picks, and maybe a player. While still ending up filling a need. Moving down they can still target outside linebacker and defensive back, and they may not have to move down that far.

The 10th overall pick could be a target for Baltimore, Philly, or Arizona.

As there will be a top-end OL, CB, WR at that slot. All three teams will be targeting one of those three, OL and CB being the most targeted. Should the draft fall their way they could see the top CB still on the board at 10th overall. Which most Jets fans would groan about missing out on, but if they can still end up with a top-3 CB and some extra picks in this draft or 2023, it will be hard to pass up.

With the Jets already one of the least overall talented teams in the league. Getting as much talent on this team with the second-year staff would create more value in the long run, than just one player.

I would look for Baltimore or Philly to be the most likely to move up, with Philly having three picks and Baltimore possibly aiming at OL or if he is still there, defensive lineman Jordan Davis. As he will not fall much farther, with the Vikings in position to take him at 14th.

Who should the Jets target with a move down?

While the Jets need OL and CB both pretty bad, the first pick will most likely be one of the top offensive linemen in the 2022 Draft. I would look for them to move down and target one of two players – Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton, or Clemson defensive back Andrew Booth Jr.

Hamilton would be a gift if they can move down and get him, but its more than possible if teams jump up for a top WR, QB, or OL on their board. Both of these defensive studs would be day one starters and could be a reach at 10 if the board gets a little wild.
