Broncos could land QB in the 2022 NFL Draft

Broncos could be targeting a QB in the 2022 NFL Draft, which might not be the best option at this point. However, it would keep a young cheap core and allow them to make other moves.

They currently have the ninth overall pick, which at that pick Kenny Pickett the suggested number one pick should be gone. This would leave them with four options all of which would be a reach at number nine. So a trade down would be in their best interest. The positive here is the next four quarterbacks are all a little different and they can pick the one who fits the team the best.

The next four would be Matt Corral, Ole Miss, Malik Willis, Liberty, Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati, and Carson Strong, Nevada. Corral and Willis are both more mobile and have good arms, which might be the better fit in that offense. Ridder is more of a game manager and similar to what you saw with Teddy Bridgewater, while Carson Strong is more of your traditional big arm pocket passing quarterback.

With the questionable offensive-line play I would assume they would rather target one of the two more mobile QBs which could be had in the middle-picks or early 20s.
