2. Jameson Williams, Alabama
Aside from recovering from a Torn ACL, Williams is about as clean as NFL coaches would like to see as far as elite deep threats go coming out of college. Had he not suffered his injury toward the end of his final season, he would have likely been in the running for the 40-yard dash record at the combine.
With exceptional footspeed and smooth route-running, Williams has the ability to consistently confuse defenders in the underneath-to-intermediate game. Where he does lack size and elite ball skills, Williams makes up for it in his ability to leverage his speed and properly time his routes. As long as reports on his ACL are promising, he should be the clear first choice for any team searching for an elite deep threat.

1. Garrett Wilson, Ohio State
Wilson is a lengthy, smooth receiver who can win in a multitude of ways. With 32’ arms, he can attack the ball exceptionally well and harnesses natural RAC instincts to make defenders miss. His agility will allow for creative ball-carrying situations in the NFL, where coaches will appreciate his versatility and burst.
While Wilson doesn’t particularly carry elite speed, he has more than enough to be a vertical threat. Pre-combine, he was an easy first-round grade, and it remains that way after his testing on Thursday.
