The Bills could lose some of their wide receivers in free agency. Here are the top receiving options for Buffalo in the 2022 NFL Draft.

With just Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis as the only two established receivers guaranteed to be on the roster next season, it feels pretty safe to assume that the Buffalo Bills will look to target a pass-catcher in the coming months.

They technically still have Cole Beasley under contract, although he’s already requested permission to seek a trade. Isaiah McKenzie too could return to the team next season, but even so, he would probably just revert back to having a relatively minimal role, certainly not a viable WR2 or WR3.

This leaves the Bills with three options; seek out a veteran wideout in free agency, trade away for another superstar, or take a shot at one of the top prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Being that the Buffalo Bills don’t have a lot to work with in terms of available cap space ($599,395), the first option may not be the most practical. Even though they could sneak in a Christian Kirk or JuJu Smith-Schuster on a low-end deal.

Alternatively, Buffalo could also trade away a few depth players, and some future draft picks for a top-tier receiver to play opposite of Stefon Diggs, such as Brandin Cooks, Calvin Ridley, or DK Metcalf.

For this to happen, the Bills would likely have to part with some of their mainstay players on defense to bring in anyone of real value, which they may not want to do. This leaves us with our final option; use their first-round draft pick on a pro-ready receiver.

It’s rare to find rookie receivers that can contribute right away. Although, it’s worth noting that in both of the previous two NFL Drafts, three Pro-Bowl receivers were taken in the first round (CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase). So, if the Buffalo Bills play their cards right, they could easily add to this trend, and draft a wide receiver capable of delivering immediately.
