Treylon Burks, Arkansas

With Beasley and McKenzie likely playing elsewhere next season, the Bills will need to find somebody that can slide into the middle of the field, and fill the slot. Luckily, Treylon Burks has ideal skillset and plenty of experience to line up just about anywhere on offense.

In fact, not only did Burks finish as the team’s leading receiver in each of his three seasons with the Razorbacks but he also spent a large majority of the time as Arkansas’ primary slot receiver.

As a true freshman in 2019, he had 475 yards on just 29 receptions, and then in 2020 he nearly doubled these numbers with 820 yards and 7 touchdowns on 51 receptions. Before truly breaking out in 2021 with 66 catches for 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns. Burks averaged over 16 yards per reception each season.

Even though he may not have separated himself all that much after a fairly average combine performance, his size alone (6’2″, 225-pounds) makes him an absolute force to be reckoned with in single coverage.

He’s widely regarded as a legitimate vertical weapon due to his freakish combination of size and speed. Burks already has experience lining up in the slot, backfield, and along the outside. So, his versatility would certainly be put to good use in Buffalo.

Having a receiving corps of Diggs, Davis, and Burks would be an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses. As the Bills would then have the option to utilize Burks’ quick cuts and steady hands as their go-to slot receiver, with Diggs and Davis as the two primary deep threats. They would also be able to make use of his significant size advantage for those pivotal 50/50 balls deep down the field.

Also, since he would easily be the biggest receiver on the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen would have yet another red-zone target to throw to in pivotal late-game scenarios.

All in all, while he may not be as polished as Chris Olave, or as quick as Jameson Williams. He offers a unique blend of size, speed, and versatility that would make him an ideal fit in Buffalo.
