Jameson Williams, Alabama

The final player the Buffalo Bills could look to snag in the draft is Alabama’s Jameson Williams. Who probably would have been the first or second receiver off the board had it not been for his injury in the national championship game back in January.

Since he wasn’t able to compete at the NFL combine and nobody knows how he’ll recover from the injury, there’s a very good chance that he will fall into the latter half of the first round come April 28th. This could land the Buffalo Bills with the best receiver in the NFL draft, without having to trade away any assets.

Labeled as the best deep threat in the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams is coming off a 2021 junior year with the Crimson Tide in which he put on an absolute show. He finished with 79 catches for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns, averaging nearly 20 yards per reception (19.9).

Some NFL scouts and analysts have concerns due to his recent injury in the CFB title game, as well as his lack of production at Ohio State. In which he caught just 15 total passes for 266 yards and 3 touchdowns in two seasons with the Buckeyes.

Although, I feel that he put those doubts to bed after an extraordinary 2021 campaign. During the 2021 season, he transferred over to Alabama and proved to be the most electric receiver in college football. The ‘Juiceman’ also has a solid frame at 6’2″, 189-pounds, which would add another legitimate red-zone target to the Bills’ roster.

With the level of production he had in college, mixed with his next-level athletic traits, Jameson Williams is arguably the most enticing prospect in the draft. Regardless of position, Williams is probably the best fit for the Buffalo Bills in 2022.
