Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Garrett Wilson /

Garrett Wilson

Ohio State was effectively branded on its talented receiver core this season, and Garrett Wilson was the spearhead of that. He recorded over 1000 receiving yards despite CJ Stroud having multiple targets available to him, including the aforementioned Chris Olave.

He picked up the nickname “The Freak” this past year, as he has been branded on his insane catches and highlight plays. In that sense, you’d have to consider him as the ideal replacement for Davante Adams (of the choices on this list). Wilson has great hands, similar to Drake London, but he combines that with the fantastic agility of Chris Olave.

Green Bay has to keep themselves in contention in the NFC, and for me, Wilson’s ability to do ‘a bit of everything’ sets him apart. The issue with that, though, is that teams above pick 22 will be looking at him as their WR1.

Green Bay’s Decision

Green Bay should be high on Garrett Wilson, no doubt. However, they aren’t the only team needing a receiver in the 2022 NFL Draft.

With that in mind, here is the order of how I’d rank their possible receiver options should they go in that direction with pick 22:

Garrett Wilson

Chris Olave

Drake London

And by no means does that show Drake London in a bad light, he just doesn’t fit the mold of a perfect replacement for Davante Adams. Wilson and Olave could both be great playmakers for Rodgers from the word go, and with Green Bay being an NFC contender and Rodgers being 38, these factors need to be considered.
