The 2022 NFL Draft is over and it is time to hand out grades and recap the picks for the Miami Dolphins as we continue this exciting NFL offseason.

The 2022 NFL Draft is finished and some teams have changed dramatically, while others have simply corrected some trouble spots on their championship rosters. The Miami Dolphins came into the selection process with limited ammunition to make any significant changes to their underrated roster of talent.

However, the team did well to add some respectable upside for the 2022 season. Below, I will run through each of their picks and grade out each pick of Miami’s 2022 NFL Draft class. The Dolphins are a team on the rise and this group could contain some missing pieces for a championship run soon.

Round 3, Pick 102: Channing Tindall, LB, Georgia

The 2021-2022 Georgia Bulldogs’ championship team was loaded this past season and created NFL Draft history. Georgia featured five defenders taken in the 1st round, the most ever for one team on one side of the ball. Players like Travon Walker, Jordan Davis, Quay Walker, Devonte Wyatt, and Lewis Cine spearheaded the Bulldogs’ title run and were taken in the 1st round on Thursday night.

One player who also played an integral role for the Bulldogs this past season was linebacker Channing Tindall. Although not a full-time starter, Tindall’s contributions were significant this past season to the tune of 67 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. The versatile linebacker was used as a blitzer, in pass coverage, and as a spy to some of the more athletic opposing quarterbacks.

The Dolphins were fortunate to have the opportunity to snatch up Tindall with such a late selection at 102 overall. At first glance, this looks like a potential passing-down weapon for Miami’s defense and one that could turn into a long-term starter. The team could choose to deploy Tindall against the hated rival Buffalo Bills to stop their dual-threat QB, Josh Allen. He’s a fascinating and talented option with tons of upside for Miami and this pick helps boost their overall 2022 NFL Draft grade.
