As we are enter week six of the NFL 2022-23 season, some teams and fans are already looking forward to the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft to see which players will help improve their teams. We take a look at the top five players that will go first in the first look at the mock draft as we enter week six.

Way too early 2023 NFL mock draft

Houston Texans- QB Bryce Young, Alabama

Bryce Young is having himself a season at Alabama this year, despite facing an shoulder injury that he suffered against Arkansas. His ability to survey the field, connect with his receivers on the deep ball, and the ability to think quickly on his feet, make him a dangerous quarterback for opposing teams to plan against. The Houston Texans could use him to jump start the a team that needs a leader and his ability to lead a Crimson Tide team could help him with a young Texans’ roster.

Chicago Bears- OT Paris Johnson Jr., Ohio State

Paris Johnson Jr. has the ability to make the struggling Bears offensive line by using his size, length, and power to make sure that his quarterback does not end up on the field. With the Bears looking to find help for Justin Fields, the offensive line will need to improve first and by throwing Johnson Jr. into the mix, it could help Fields when he is in the pocket and getting time for him throw the deep pass as well.

Seattle Seahawks- EDGE Will Anderson Jr., Alabama

Anderson Jr’s. speed, power, and being one of the most dominate players on the Crimson Tide defense, makes him the perfect fit with the Seattle team that many experts think need a quarterback. The holes in the Seattle Seahawks defense are a key factor as to why the Seahawks have been losing close games. By adding Will Anderson Jr., they could see an improvement on the defensive side of the ball that is needed from a team that once sported the “Legion of Boom.”

Carolina Panthers- QB C.J. Stroud, Ohio State

Stroud going to the Panthers will cause some concerns, as he will be competing against Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, as the team that just fired their head coach will look to rebuild after a disappointing start the 2022 season. Stroud’s accuracy, his ability to throw the ball deep, and this ability to make plays that the confuses the opponent make him standout in the quarterback class, and with a team like the Panthers looking to improve, finding the right quarterback would be the best place to start.

Atlanta Falcons- EDGE BJ Ojulari, LSU

Much like his brother on the New York Giants, Azeez Ojulari, BJ is an explosive pass rusher that has the ability to come off the edge and get to the opposing teams quarterbacks, making him one player that the Falcons need to have on their draft list. Ojulari can help improve the Falcons defense that has suffered throughout the pass couple of weeks this season, and provide a threat that could shake things up in the NFL.

As we enter week six of the 2022-23 NFL season, make sure you watch these players the day prior to see if they make an impact for their college teams and see if they make a good fit for the teams we put them in.
