2023 NFL Draft most likely top pick?

Detroit Lions

Earlier this season, it looked like the Lions had firmly turned the corner. The team was playing inspired football and the offense came out of the gate looking like a juggernaut. Sadly, the team was blanked in New England and hasn’t quite had the same offensive spark since.

At the trade deadline, the team officially waved the white flag on the season when it was announced that they had traded former first round pick T.J. Hockenson to the Minnesota Vikings

While it has been another tough season for Lions’ fans, the team appears to have set a nice foundation for a new quarterback. The offensive line appears set as Penei Sewell has graded well above average this season. The likely trio of Sewell, Frank Ragnow and Taylor Decker should help any young quarterback adjust to the NFL.

Meanwhile, the team has offensive weapons in D’Andre Swift, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jamaal Williams. With Jameson Williams approaching his debut, the Lions offense appears ready to develop a young quarterback prospect.
