On Monday night, the college football season will come to a close with the Georgia Bulldogs playing the TCU Horned Frogs for the CFP National Championship. While the players will be focused on winning a title, for a number of players there is a potential secondary benefit as they can help their stock in the NFL Draft in a few months.

For the Bulldogs, this is not uncharted territory as they were in this exact spot last year and would end up beating Alabama 33-18 to win their first national championship under Kirby Smart. While watching this game on Monday night, there are six players to watch closely who likely will play their next football game on Sundays in the NFL.

It almost certainly is going to be Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud who hear their names called first in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, defensive tackle Jalen Carter shouldn’t have to wait much longer after that to find out which NFL team he will begin his career with.

Carter is the best player at his position and arguably one of the best prospects in this year’s draft class. At 6’3″ and 310 pounds, he is a destructive force in the interior of this defensive line and will make any NFL defense significantly better from Day 1.

In the game against Ohio State, he was on the field for the majority of the game but had only one tackle. While the stats don’t tell the whole story, he will almost certainly be looking to make more of an impact against TCU to strengthen that case of being the best player in the 2023 NFL Draft.
