Seattle Seahawks could have two picks in the Top 20 in the 2023 NFL Draft

The Seattle Seahawks have to be one team that looks like the biggest winner in the NFL over the past 12 months. They would trade their franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos for multiple draft picks last offseason and seemed ready to go into a full rebuild.

However, that didn’t end up being the case and the Broncos look like a team with more questions than Seattle.

One of the picks Seattle received ended up turning into the fifth overall pick after the Broncos had a disastrous season. Meanwhile, the Seahawks found something with Geno Smith and after some help from the Detroit Lions were able to make the playoffs as the seventh seed.

However, even with their success this year the Seahawks still have a lot of work to replenish the roster. They could look to add two impact players with multiple picks in the first round.

Another reason the Seahawks may benefit more from an early exit is that it helps their chances of packaging that pick, along with the fifth, to move up if they want to select one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s class.

It has been a fun season for the Seahawks but the focus should be on the future and establishing that foundation for success.
