Budda Baker

The final player could come as a surprise as Budda Baker is still one of the best safeties in the league. He made the Pro Bowl for the fourth consecutive year and had 111 total tackles, two interceptions, and seven passes defended in 15 games.

The reason that the Cardinals would really even entertain the idea of trading Baker is that he is the player that could probably bring back the most in terms of draft picks. He is 27 years old and is under contract for two more seasons so a team wouldn’t be trading for just a rental player.

The Cardinals would also create over $13 million in cap space if they were to trade him after June 1st as they could spread the dead cap space over two years.

In addition to the potential return and the cap savings, the other reason they might consider trading Baker is that they already seemingly have his replacement in Isaiah Simmons. The former Top 10 pick had an excellent year this past season and this offseason the Cardinals have to decide if they use the fifth-year option.
