Even with no first round pick, the New Orleans Saints find a future starting QB in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft

Over the past few seasons, the New Orleans Saints have gone through some notable changes as a franchise. After the 2020 season, future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees hung them up and retired, and then this past offseason the Saints saw head coach Sean Payton decide to step away.

The Saints elected to look within the organization for his replacement and hired Dennis Allen to be their head coach and continue with the duo of Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton at quarterback. Unfortunately, they didn’t have much success and would finish the year 7-10 and miss the playoffs.

For a team that doesn’t have much in terms of salary cap space, they will need to find some hidden talent in the 2023 NFL Draft to improve their roster. On top of that, they currently don’t have a first round pick as they traded it to the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason.

However, they should get some draft picks with Sean Payton interviewing with other teams and since he is still under contract, there would need to be some compensation heading back to New Orleans.

For now, let’s take a look at what the New Orleans Saints might do with their current picks in this 2023 NFL mock draft.
