The New Orleans Saints got their first round pick last year right with the selection of Chris Olave. He looks like he is well on his way to being a top-tier wide receiver in the NFL with 72 receptions, 1,042 receiving yards, and four touchdowns.

However, after that, the Saints have a number of questions at the position starting with Michael Thomas. The former All-Pro had a great start to the season with 16 receptions, 171 receiving yards, and three touchdowns in the first three games.

Unfortunately, he suffered an injury and that is all he would play this season and now over the past three years has played a total of 10 games. At this point, the Saints can’t rely on him and with Jarvis Landry and Marquez Callaway free agents, the selection of Jonathan Mingo out of Ole Miss in this 2023 NFL mock draft makes a lot of sense.

He is a big wide receiver at 6’2″ and 215 pounds that could play outside or inside as a big slot and eventually could develop into a WR2 behind Chris Olave.
