Another position the New York Giants will likely want to address is cornerback as they find another player to pair with Adoree Jackson. The Giants were able to get by for the most part with players like Fabian Moreau, Nick McCloud, and Aaron Robinson but with Moreau set to be a free agent and a chance to add a top cornerback, it would make sense for them to use their first round pick on the position.

One area, in particular, the Giants could improve is finding a cornerback that can force interceptions. Last year, the Giants cornerbacks combined for one interception (Rodarius Williams) and in total only forced six.

There are a number of excellent cornerbacks in this year’s class that have a chance and this may be a bit of wishful thinking in that he will be available but Christian Gonzalez would be a great fit for this defense.

This past season with the Ducks he had four interceptions and seven pass breakups and this would be a great addition to the Giants’ secondary and hopefully result in some more impact plays.
