The Vikings signed free agent Harrison Phillips last offseason to try and shore up that position but he needs more help and that is why Byron Young makes sense as their next pick in this 2023 NFL Mock Draft.

Byron Young played in 55 games for the University of Alabama and had 130 total tackles, 20 tackles for a loss, and 7.5 sacks and would be considered more of a run-stuffing defensive tackle instead of a threat to rush the passer.

One of the big questions for the Vikings this offseason, and their new defensive coordinator, is whether or not they stick with the 3-4 defense they ran this season or go back to a 4-3 defense. Regardless of the formation, I think Byron Young can fit on this defensive line and be a good part of a rotation.
