4 options for the Buffalo Bills first round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft
Jaxon Smith-Njigba
One of the big changes in the offense this year was the lack of production from the slot receiver. The Bills released Cole Beasley during the offseason and hoped Isaiah McKenzie and Jamison Crowder could replace him.
However, Crowder suffered a season-ending injury and McKenzie struggled to the point that the Bills signed Beasley toward the end of the regular season. The selection of Jaxon Smith-Njigba would be a great addition at a position of need and give another playmaker for Josh Allen.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a breakout season in 2021 with 95 receptions, 1,606 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Unfortunately, he dealt with injuries that limited him to only three games last season and he had five receptions for 43 yards.
That shouldn’t scare the Bills away and this is another player that should be an option for Buffalo with their first round pick.
