895. . Safety. Broncos . JL Skinner. 60. player

The safety position could look very different for the Cincinnati Bengals as both Jessie Bates III and Vonn Bell are set to be free agents. Both players started 16 games this past season and combined for over 140 total tackles and eight interceptions.

It seems unlikely that the Bengals will be able to bring back both so will be looking for at least one starter. JL Skinner would be a great pick here in this seven-round mock draft to potentially replace one of those veterans.

Skinner is a big safety who had 201 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss and seven interceptions in four seasons with Boise State. He is a physical player that likely would play more toward the line of scrimmage and could help against the run but wouldn’t be limited to that based on his interception total.
