The Dallas Cowboys for the second straight year made the playoffs and were able to advance a little further this season. They would win their Wild Card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round.

Now looking ahead to the 2023 NFL Draft, the Cowboys will have the 26th overall pick in the first round. There should be a number of players on both sides of the ball that can help this team in 2023.

Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson is an incredible player but it remains to be seen how early in the 2023 NFL Draft he will go with how devalued the running back position is. However, Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys have not been afraid to invest heavily in the position.

They drafted Ezekiel Elliot fourth overall in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft and then made him one of the highest-paid players at his position before his rookie contract expired with a new contract. However, he is 27 years old and the Cowboys could consider releasing him this offseason to create some much needed cap space. If they do, along with the potential of Tony Pollard leaving in free agency, it creates a major hole at the position.

Bijan Robinson would be the perfect player to draft at this point to address the position. He is a player that can lead the Cowboys’ run game and has the potential to be the best player at running back in the NFL in the near future.
