Keeanu Benton

On the defensive side of the ball one player, also from the Big Ten like John Micheal Schmitz, that has stood out is defensive tackle Keeanu Benton out of the University of Wisconsin. He has been almost unblockable this week down at the Senior Bowl due to moves like the one Ryan Fowler tweeted.

I believe Keeanu Benton is more of a three-technique defensive tackle and would be responsible for using his quickness to get into the backfield and make plays. That is exactly what he did this past season with Wisconsin when he had 4.5 sacks and 10 tackles for a loss.

However, he also has shown he can be that run-stuffing defensive tackle as a one-technique. This is not necessarily a deep class in terms of interior defensive linemen and after players like Jalen Carter and Bryan Bresee, there is an opportunity for a player like Benton to move up draft boards pretty rapidly.
