Anthony Richardson

The New Orleans Saints have a major question mark at the quarterback position and haven’t really found a long-term answer since Drew Brees retired a few seasons ago. This past year, the Saints began the year with Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback but he suffered injuries that forced him to miss time and he was replaced by Andy Dalton.

The former second round pick remained the starting quarterback for the rest of the year but is now a free agent. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Saints re-sign Dalton but they should consider drafting a quarterback with this pick.

One player that seems to be gaining momentum in the early draft process is Anthony Richardson out of Florida. He is not an experienced quarterback, with only one year as the starter, but he has all the physical tools to develop into a dynamic player.

The chances Richardson is available here may be diminishing but if he is still on the board then this would be a great pick for the New Orleans Saints.
