If defensive end Cameron Jordan was making the selection for the New Orleans Saints with this pick, he would be looking for a defensive tackle based on his tweet. It is a position the Saints need to address after giving up on average the ninth most rushing yards per game last year (130.5 yards).

This offseason the defensive tackle is going to be a point of focus for the New Orleans Saints as they currently do not have a single player under contract at the position. One piece that can be a part of the rebuilding of the position is former Baylor defensive tackle Siaki Ika.

He is a big defensive tackle at 6’4″ and 358 pounds that moves very well for his size. He did a good job making plays in the backfield in 2021 and finished the year with four sacks but took a slight step back this past season and wasn’t able to register a sack.

It may be a little bit of a reach to select Siaki Ika here and the Saints might consider trading back if this is the player they want but a player like Ika could address a lot of issues on the interior of the defensive line.
