The Philadelphia Eagles came out of the 2023 NFL Draft with an absolute haul of potential elite players. In this case, the rich got richer.  How does Howie Roseman keep getting away with this stuff?  The Eagles lost the Super Bowl in 2022 and went into the offseason with what seemed like 25 free agents.

Not only did Roseman bring back the main core of the defense, including Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Darius Slay, and James Bradberry, but he then went into the 2023 NFL Draft and decided that his free agency was not enough.

At this point, we can call the Eagles the Philadelphia Bulldogs, as Roseman continue to pluck defensive studs from Georgia.

In the first round, he landed controversial prospect Jalen Carter and EDGE rusher Nolan Smith.  He had already drafted two other Georgia studs in Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean the year before.  In the fourth round of 2023, he nabbed Kelee Ringo, another Georgia defender who should have been taken in the second round.

This draft not only keeps the Eagles in a great position for the immediate future, but it gives them a nice core to work with for the long-term future.  The offense is essentially already set, but Roseman added to that unit by taking offensive tackle Tyler Steen from Alabama.

The Eagles signed Eli Ricks, a former Alabama cornerback who somehow went undrafted.  Ricks was before seen as one of the best CBs in the 2023 class.

Again I ask, how does Roseman keep getting away with this stuff?  It’s unbelievable.  The Philadelphia Eagles are locked and loaded to make their second straight Super Bowl in a wide open NFC.

With Jalen Hurts extended, the offensive line returning mostly in tact, and the defense reloaded and ready to go, I’d find it almost surprising if the Eagles did not blast their way through the conference again in 2023.
