Round 7, Pick 240 – Derek Parish, EDGE, Houston
With 10 picks during day three and only three picks during the first two days, the Jaguars’ class isn’t going to have big prospect names, but the Anton Harrison selection was a nice move for them. Left tackle Cam Robinson has been suspended for a chunk of the 2023 season, so Harrison figures to slide in and start for Robinson.
Strange and Bigsby are nice complimentary picks for the team and it’s clear that the Jaguars wanted to prioritize the defensive side of the ball, taking three EDGE rushers and three defensive backs.
Their offense is likely going to take another step forward in 2023, and if their defense can follow, this is going to be a very good team.
