The NFL in 2023 is filled with a ton of parity. Which two teams would create the most enticing Super Bowl matchup in the coming season?  The biggest sporting even in the world is the Super Bowl.  For some, it’s the best day of the year.

Last year, in the 2022 season, the Kansas City Chiefs bested the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.  It was an incredibly tough but great game.  Could these two teams meet again in the big game in 2023?  It’s very possible.

Will there be a surprise team to make the big game?  Let’s look at some of the most enticing SB matchups.

2023 NFL Season: The most enticing Super Bowl matchups?

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

I think this is an obvious one.  I am high on the Jaguars and think they could make a playoff run, but perhaps we should be looking at 2024 for them to be considered true contenders.

This would be an interesting matchup for former Eagles’ head coach Doug Pederson, who won the SB with the Eagles back in 2017.  This SB would create a ton of lovely storylines.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Denver Broncos

This one could also be a fun matchup.  Obviously I’m getting creative here.  The Denver Broncos are now being coached by a Super Bowl winning head coach in Sean Payton, and there are obvious ties between these two clubs.

Kyle Shanahan’s father is former Broncos’ SB winning head coach Mike Shanahan.  Christian McCaffrey is son of former Denver Bronco Ed McCaffrey.  GM John Lynch once played for the Broncos.

Denver also has a few former 49ers’ players on their roster as well.  I’d love to see this matchup, especially as a Broncos’ fan (hehe).

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals

This would be an interesting matchup.  I think the Bengals are an overall better team than the Kansas City Chiefs, and this would also be a nice battle of former 2020 NFL Draft quarterbacks in Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts.

Hurts got a huge contract extension this offseason, and Joe Burrow is probably next.  This would be an amazing Super Bowl.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few decades, you’ll know that the Buffalo Bills lost four straight Super Bowls from 1990-1993.  In two of those losses, they were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys by a combined score of 82-30.

Wouldn’t it be sweet to see this game again?  Both teams have a bit of a reputation for crumbling in the playoffs, so it’d be nice to see both clubs finally break through that reputation to meet in the big game.

These two teams may also have the two best rosters in the NFL.
