2023 NFL Season: Ceiling and floor predictions for rookie QBs
2023 NFL Season: Ceiling and floor predictions for rookie QBs
Will Levis, Tennessee Titans
I personally do not have high hopes for Will Levis as a viable starting quarterback in the NFL, and I think he’ll end up being one of the worst starters in the league in the 2023 NFL season.
Ceiling: I think if Will Levis is able to hit his ceiling, he’ll still end up grading out near the bottom in most every metric. I get that statistics can sometimes be misleading, but they’re still important. At his best in the 2023 NFL season, I think Levis throws for roughly the same amount of touchdowns as interceptions and scrapes together a passer rating in the low-80s or mid-high 70s.
Perhaps an encouraging rookie season depending on who you talk to, as the Titans are missing a ton of talent on offense and have a poor offensive line.
Floor: If Levis endures what I believe to be his floor in the 2023 NFL season, it won’t be pretty, and questions will begin if the Titans should pursue a top QB in the 2024 NFL Draft. I think he’ll fail to find much footing at all in the offense and his offensive line and pass catchers won’t be doing him many favors.
A poor rookie season will put the Tennessee Titans in a position to take a top QB in the 2024 NFL Draft if they decide to go forward with someone else at QB.
