Notable Games

      • Texas A&M

Jake Matthews and Johnny Manziel are gone to the NFL, the Aggies have another stud left tackle in Cedric Ogbuehi, who faced Flowers some last year.  Ogbuehi has a chance to be one of the premier tackles in the 2015 class and will be a good test for Flowers.

More from NFL Draft News

      • Alabama

The Crimson Tide sent Cyrus Kouandjio to the NFL, but they will have the next man up, possibly his brother (Arie) in at left tackle.  Alabama is always a great test for potential NFL defensive linemen to show how they can handle size and play the run while then being able to get after the passer.

      • LSU

The Tigers have always been a team that runs first and passes second until this past year with Cam Cameron as their offensive coordinator and quarterback Zach Mettenberger.  Mettenberger is gone, so LSU may get back to their primary focus of running the football more this season.  In either scenario, La’El Collins provides a test of another talented left tackle with a good amount of size and strength.

System Fit

      • 4-3 Defensive End

This is the most logical and likely spot for Flowers to play.  He has the body type, experience and has been his best from this spot.  To this point, it is far and away the best situation for him.

      • 3-4 Outside Linebacker

With his body where it is currently, Flowers would be play the Elephant position that 3-4 teams like to employ.  He would need to make a substantial change to his body to do much else in this scheme as it currently stands.

      • 3-4 Defensive End

If Flowers comes into this season around 275lbs and has success, there might be some talk about this during the draft process.  For a one gap scheme, he has the length and ability to play the run on the edge, while also being able to contribute as a pass rusher.

Draft Projection

Based on 2013 tape: Early Day 3 Pick

With improvement in key areas in 2014: Day 2 Pick with a small chance to become a 1st round pick in 2015
