Notable Games

  • Arkansas

While the Razorbacks were awful last year, they had a talented group of defensive ends in Chris Smith and Trey Flowers.  Smith is in the NFL, but Flowers is there and had some success against both Ogbuehi and Matthews last year, so this could be a great matchup between seniors.

More from NFL Draft News

  • Mississippi State

One of the rising stars among the SEC pass rushers was Benardrick McKinney.  He is a completely different style of rusher as Flowers was in Arkansas and these two games back to back weeks and they play this game in Starkville, so it could be a tough game for Ogbuehi as well as A&M as a whole.

  • Missouri

Last year, Michael Sam and Kony Ealy were both talented players in the Tigers front but there are people who think Shane Ray could be better than both.  This could be a statement game for Ray and a great test for Ogbuehi.

System Fit

  • Zone Scheme Tackle

The ideal scenario is that a team that runs a higher percentage of zone blocking selects Ogbuehi.  From an athletic and build standpoint, he is really well suited and would only get better with increased functional strength.

  • Gap Scheme Tackle

While teams that run a heavier dose of gap schemes would tend to prefer to get someone with a little more heft, the fact is there are only so many high caliber pass protectors that can play on the blind side.  So while he is not as well equipped for this type of blocking a left tackle needy team will not hesitate unless a better fit is available.

Draft Projection

Based on 2013 tape: Late 1st round pick

With improvement in key areas in 2014: Top 10-15 Pick in the 1st round of the 2015 NFL Draft
