Notable Games
- Tennessee
The Vols are still trying to find their way out of the depths of medicority in the SEC, but they are an SEC opponent and will get that type of respect. This game is in Knoxville and it will be the first opportunity to see where Keeton’s knee is in its recovery and how much he trusts it. And if the Aggies can win it, it will be a big victory for that program even if the two teams are not as far apart as some might think.

- BYU
Not only is this the game where Keeton suffered the injury that ended his season, but Bronco Mendenhall varies his looks and attacks from a number of different angles that make it difficult for opposing offenses and quarterbacks. And this year, the game is in Provo.
- Boise State
The Broncos have a new head coach in the wake of Chris Petersen’s departure to Washington. Nevertheless, the Broncos have talent and the game is in Boise this year. This could determine if one of these teams ends up in the Mountain West Championship this year.
System Fit
Keeton might be best suited for a more vertically based offense as he has the arm to do it and it gives him more space to operate with his legs. He could work in a more horizontal style offense because he can make short, accurate throws but needs to get more consistent. The reality is that Keeton is not really out of the question for most any offense at this point.
Certainly, some teams seem more equipped than others to maximize the talents of Keeton and perhaps going to a team like San Francisco where he could learn behind Colin Kaepernick would be great for him. They run a great system for what Keeton does well. Seattle is another team that could be a great landing spot for him.
Like most any rookie quarterback, Keeton would benefit from a year to learn, but his poise and decision making could enable him to have success early as long as he shows he can make the throws. His mental makeup and confidence in the pocket makes him stand out and lend credibility to the fact he would be able to handle the NFL as a rookie; as much as any rookie truly can, save the rare exception.
