Notable Games
- Washington State
Unfortunately, the Mountain West does not offer great deal of tough defense, the pair of PAC-12 opponents they have are more important, even though neither of them play much defense either. The Cougars are still trying to get out of the basement, but Fajardo playing well and leading the Wolfpack to a win at home would at least get a little buzz and attention.
- Arizona
Like Washington State, the Wildcats are not noted for their defensive prowess. Nevertheless, this might be the biggest opponent Nevada has at first blush. In what could be an absolute shootout, Fajardo could have a huge game and perhaps get an opportunity for a late game drive to win the game.
- Colorado State
Of the teams in the Mountain West, the Rams and Utah State Aggies have put together the best defenses. They do not play the Aggies on the regular season slate, so that game in Reno against Colorado State might be the best defense Fajardo sees all season.

System Fit
Fajardo’s legs are an asset, but what is going to dictate the best fit for him is going to be more suited to shorter throws. His arm strength is average and when he pushes the ball down the field, he gets a lot of air under it. It also requires him to anticipate the throw early, which he can do, but it is not ideal.
He might be best suited to end up as a developmental prospect in more of a horizontal offense. Should he find himself in that situation, he needs to really iron out his footwork because when he is right, he can be accurate and put the ball where it needs to go and on time. After that, he can hopefully get better at progressing to a second and third option. It would be a long term project based on what he has shown to this point.
