Oregon TE Pharaoh Brown will miss rest of year with knee injury
By Peter Smith
The Oregon Ducks were able to notch another win in their bid to get to the College Football Playoff, this time against Utah, but it came at the price of their tight end Pharaoh Brown. After bring carted off last night with an apparent knee injury, it has been announced that Brown will miss the rest of the season. The 6’6″ 250lb junior is eligible for the 2015 NFL Draft, but there has not been any indication whether his intent to leave after this season or not.

That decision may be less likely with the news of this injury, depending on the severity. In the immediate future, the Ducks have two regular season games left against Colorado and Oregon State before a likely spot in the PAC-12 Championship game and will have to win without their biggest target.
Brown has the prototypical frame that both colleges and NFL teams love to find if he is close to the listed 6’6″ 250lb size he has, looking the part of a giant wide receiver. The last time the Ducks had this type of body type, it was Colt Lyerla, who ultimately had to leave Oregon under less than ideal circumstances. Brown has the chance to be one of the better tight end prospects in the country. Unfortunately, that may have to wait until 2016.
