Cameron Erving

I think Seminoles left tackle Cameron Erving really made himself some money on Saturday night. The reason why is because he showed some versatility in doing a good job at center that night. Head coach Jimbo Fisher has already expressed his desire to use Erving at center for the rest of the season.

So now, scouts will get a chance to look at him as a center to see how he checks out as an NFL center. As a left tackle, I saw mainly 2nd-round projections for Erving as centers don’t usually project very early. But where Erving could have made himself some money is his ability to play center and left tackle.

That’s valuable in the NFL, where offensive lineman are shuffled every week.
